About the Artist and the Artwork
Artashes Petrosyan was born in 1998 in Artsakh. Graduated from the Shushi Institute of Applied Arts named after Hakob Gyurjyan with a degree in Interior Design.
The author wrote his work “Etude in Astkhashen” directly in the village of Astkhashen, Askeran region of Artsakh. The village has been famous since ancient times for starfish, which have now turned into rock formations of great interest to tourists. Astkhashen is an ancient Armenian village. In the picture, the author tried to depict one of the houses in the village with his being and a simple village look. The child standing in the center symbolizes the past, present and future of Artsakh.
