About the Artist and the Artwork
Van Hovak was born in 1973 in Yerevan. The full name of the artist is Anushavan Hovakimyan. Graduated from Yerevan State University and Los Angeles Valley College, Department of Arts in California.

Van’s paintings mostly represent spiritual beings, human souls, philosophy of life, and archetypes. Throughout his career, Van has been inspired and influenced by other artists, such as Picasso and Chagall. Symbolism and spirituality are two important things in his art.
The work presented at the auction is a vivid example of Van’s artistic conception, it carries revelation, beauty, spirituality, and perfection.

Van has participated in numerous exhibitions in Armenia and abroad, many of his paintings can be found in corporate and private collections in France, England, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States. Van is an Honorary Member of the Union of Armenian Artists and a Member of the Union of Russian Professional Artists.
