About the Artist and the Artwork
Siranush Baghramyan was born in 1953 in Yerevan. Siranush started painting in 2000, she is a doctor and has no special art education. In the early period of her work, Siranush worked with plate painting, then moved on to experiments with pastels and watercolors.
Siranush's paintings are distinguished by the incessant play of light and shadow, countless color shades. Her images are unique, each work reveals the talent of a colorist, with the help of which Siranush manages to share subtle moods and a wide range of emotions. Created by Siranush Baghramyan, the unique Sirang technique is multi-layered, embossed, and voluminous. Her paintings radiate light, kindness, and a sense of the joy of life.
For 21 years, Siranush painted about 1000 paintings, held 14 solo exhibitions. More than 200 paintings by the author are in private collections in more than 20 countries around the world. In 2007, at the invitation of the French government, Siranoush organized two solo exhibitions in Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, and Siranoush's works were exhibited at the international Foire exhibition in France.
